Food for thought …

We often treat God like He’s a lawyer! We go to Him only when we are in trouble. That accounts for why we don’t get answers since God does not work that way!! He rewards diligence! Those who love Him ‘in spite of’ not ‘because of’. Let’s redefine the terms of our relationship with God. It matters a lot to HIM…

Grace is needed:
• To overlook the shortcomings of others
• To love like Christ
• To bear the reproach of Christ
• To study God’s word diligently
• To continue to offer the sacrifice of praise
• To not speak the language of slaves
• To obey and submit to authority
• To be witnesses to Christ’s resurrection.

  1. you are certainly most right! we must not come to God with fear as if we are sinners and that he will judge us.

certainly we can come to Him even when we fail because Jesus is on our side.

the devil, who is the accuser of us uses the Law to accuse us in everyday possible. but the blood of Jesus has overcome him.

“My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an ADVOCATE who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous.” – 1 John 2:1

Jesus is our advocate, our defense lawyer. even when we messed up big time, Jesus not only paid for our sins, but specializes in taking care of sin.

“The Law came in so that the transgression would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more”
    – Romans 5:20

“for sin shall have no dominion over you for you are not under Law but grace”
    – Romans 6:14

how can we not fall in love with Jesus?

“We love, because He first loved us” – 1 John 4:19

it is not easy to be obedient, as we are obedient because we love him. amen.

    – grace and peace

    • His grace is definitely sufficient for us but still keep in mind Romans 6:1 ‘What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?’. May the Lord grant us the grace to remain in Him.

      • romans 6:1
is not about us keeping on committing sin.
it simply means, the grace of God is measured to us based on our lifetime of sins. in other words we cannot out-grace God’s grace by sin. there is just so much grace to cover our sins.

and lastly, that verse means even 1 tiny sin, can never make us sinners again. we do sin everyday. either willingly or unwillingly. but the truth of the matter is that all our sins has been forgiven.

i bet something is wrong with a believer if he is not wanting to be righteous as he is righteous. something is terribly wrong in the church if we tell the members to stop killing people.

        just my thought 🙂

      • I agree with you as well. My main point is that some people due to the assurance and abundance of grace tend to abuse it and then go out intentionally and sin because they are covered. So we shouldn’t abuse the grace just because it’s available.
